SAPU’s third Movie Night will premiere on Thursday, March 17th at 17:00!

Welcome back to SAPU Movie Nights!

Welcome back to Movie Night! At this event, we will be watching documentaries and ethnographic films in an informal and laid-back setting. This is a space to hang out with friends, meet new people, and talk about the anthropological themes and topics of the movies. As last time, there will be snacks & drinks!

The screening will start at 17:00 (NEW TIME!) in Auditorium 2 and take about an hour. Afterwards there’ll be the opportunity to stay and discuss among each other (or just hang out and talk).

This Movie Night is in support of all those affected by war in Ukraine, Yemen, Myanmar, and all other places with ongoing armed conflict. SAPU events will always be free to attend. However, you can find links below to donate to reliable organizations.

This time we’ll watch “Train Kyiv-War” (2020), a documentary about public discourse surrounding the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia in Donbas in 2014 through the lense of passengers on a train. You can watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QucZSF0Fr8&ab_channel=Takflix

They talk, debate, even quarrel, but speak to each other and go in common direction. And what`s important, they all want to get to peace.”
